Businessman in Isabela hangs self due to family problems

Cauayan City, Isabela – A 50-year-old businessman committed suicide by hanging himself at his boarding house in Barangay San Fermin, Cauayan City, Isabela.

Based on the initial investigation by the Cauayan City Police Station, as reported by 98.5 i-FM Cauayan, the victim’s wife returned to their boarding house on September 8, 2022, and discovered her husband hanging by a rope, lifeless.

The victim's wife immediately sought help from their neighbors and informed the authorities about the incident.

Members of Rescue 922 immediately responded to the incident and took the victim to a hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

Police reported that the victim’s wife believed family problems could be the cause behind the victim’s decision to hang himself.

Suicide case by hanging in the same barangay

Last July 20, a 42-year-old man hanged himself inside his bunkhouse in the same Barangay.

Police reported that the victim was discovered by his co-worker when the latter visited him for not answering his call.

The victim’s co-worker immediately informed their colleagues and the authorities about the incident, and Rescue 922 responded immediately, ferrying the victim to a hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
