Tanudan, Kalinga – The majestic Cabugao, Tawang Falls in Pangol, Tanudan, which recently became popular with the public, is temporarily closed, the Tanudan Municipal Information Office announced.

The temporary closure of the new tourist destination in town was made through the Barangay Pangol’s Resolution No. 8, 2025, closing the falls from April 22 until further notice. This is to pave way for the barangay to fix some matters and facilities in the area before reopening it to locals and tourists.

The Cabugao, Tawang Falls is located in the crystal-clear waters of the Donglayan River in Sitio Cabugao, Pangol. With the heat being experienced in the entire country, the area became one of the recent destinations in the province, enthralling people with its clear water, beautiful view, and its river being described as a perfect place for swimming.

When reopened, visitors can get to dip their stress away at the Cabugao, Tawang Falls, and go back refreshed and energized to their jobs or studies for only P30.0,0 which serves as the environmental and entrance fee.

The destination is just 30-45 minute ride from Tabuk City via the Cudal–Lay-asan to Pangol route.
