Body found floating in Tabuk City’s irrigation canal

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A man with a puncture wound on his upper left hip was found dead and floating in the irrigation canal at Barangay Ipil this afternoon of November 12, 2020.

According to Pssg. Rogel Iwos, investigator at the Tabuk City Police Station, a concerned citizen went to the Mobile Patrol Unit in Bulanao to report about a floating body. This, he said prompted the police to go at the scene.

Upon verification, rescuers arrived to pull the cadaver out of the water.

In the initial investigation, the lifeless body was about 5’ 3” to 5’ 4” tall with ‘Linda S’ tattooed on his right chest. He also has another tattoo on his left hand.

Iwos said that some citizens went at the scene to verify if the body is their missing family member but it wasn’t. Therefore, he is calling on the public especially those with missing relatives to come and see the body which is currently at the Falgui Funeral at Barangay Dagupan Centro.

“Nu adda iti missing nga relative da, mapan da latta ijay Falgui funeral ta kitaen da ta diyay ket adda ngay ti tattoo na ti barukong, right chest adda ti Linda S nga nakatattoo jay skin na,” he said.

Investigation is still ongoing.
