Cagayan, Philippines – A 20-year-old beauty queen from Cagayan is representing the Philippines in Miss Heritage pageant that will be held in South Africa on September 26, 2022.

Miss Heritage pageant is not only a beauty pageant but also an event that brings people from different cultures around the world to be one through the purpose of promoting the preservation of global heritage.

Patrice Arugay Pedralvez from Iguig, Cagayan was chosen by Arnold Baculi, director of Miss Heritage Philippines and Avery John Palad of PALMBAX Media in Ras Maharlika to represent Cagayan as well as the country in the said international pageant.

Pedralvez was crowned Miss Iguig last year and a reigning queen of Reina Filipinas Cagayan held earlier at Brickstone Mall, Tuguegarao City.

Patrice, in her preparation for the incoming pageant, said she will exhibit traditional clothing to showcase the rich culture and heritage of Cagayan.

"Kung ano ang makikita sa Cagayan at sa Pilipinas 'yon ang ipapakita natin. Wala tayong iibahin; hindi modernized, lahat traditional," said the queen of Reina Filipina Cagayan.

Through the Cagayan Information Office, Miss Heritage representative, together with her team, revealed that they are making all necessary preparations for the national dress, cultural attire, and heritage theme evening gown competition.

Patrice has asked fellow Filipinos to support her by casting their votes in the Pageant’s online voting to add to her chance of getting into the top 20 finalists of Miss Heritage Global.

"Hindi lang Cagayan ang bitbit ko, kundi buong Pilipinas. Mabigat yung pressure, pero nagpapasalamat ako sa pamilya ko, sa mga kaibigan ko, mga supporter ko, at sa mga kapwa ko Cagayano dahil nagtitiwala sila sa akin. Sana iregalo niyo na sa akin sa birthday ko ang pagsuporta niyo lalo sa online voting upang maipakita nating kayang kaya natin sa international," expressed Patrice.

Patrice with her team will fly to South Africa on September 26, 2022 for the competition.
