Christmas Village in Baguio City now open to public

Baguio City, Philippines – The Christmas Village themed “Oriental Winter Wonderland” of Baguio Country Club (BCC) was opened to the public on Monday, October 10, 2022.


The primary highlight of the Christmas Village is the replica of a spaceship emitting artificial snow that excites residents and tourists of all ages.


Featured in this year’s event are the nativity pageant, snow show, cosplay busking, live musical performances, Santa, Japanese and Korean characters, and a wishing wall.

Start of Christmas Village


It was said that the BCC employees first came up with a Christmas Village in 2011 as means of additional attraction to other members and the community. The village was filled with traditional Christmas houses and trees with a holiday life-size nativity scene.


The undertaking received appreciation from the public thus, the employees came up with the same village the following year but made use of recycled materials this time.


With more people enjoying the experience, the Christmas Village was then set up annually.

According to BCC, the village which runs until January 8, 2023, is open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily.


The much-awaited annual BCC Christmas Village will once again open its doors with this year’s theme — Oriental Winter Wonderland starting October 10, 2022. Open from 10:00am to 10:00pm daily.


From 10 AM to 4:59 PM, the entrance fee for adults is P90, for kids 4 to 12 years old is P30, and P50 for senior citizens.


From 5 PM to 10 PM, the entrance fee for adults is P125, for kids 4 to 12 years old is P50, and P90 for senior citizens.


PWDs and toddlers three years old and below are free.

Rules


The BCC advised the public to abide by the following rules, regulations, health and safety protocols:


1. Please present a Full Vaccination Card or Certificate upon entry.


2. Venue capacity shall be in compliance with IATF's requirements. "NO FACE MASK, NO ENTRY" policy shall be strictly implemented.


3. Rubber slippers are NOT ALLOWED regardless of brand and cost (thong-type, beach style, and bathroom slippers).


4. For safety reasons, parents or guardians must monitor their children at all times as the management of Baguio Country Club shall not be liable for injuries or accidents arising from the failure of parents or guardians in monitoring their children.


5. Please avoid picking flowers, or touching the Christmas lights, decor and ponds.


6. Bringing food and drinks inside the Christmas Village is NOT ALLOWED.

7. Only small pets on leashes are allowed.


8. Disinfection of the Christmas Village will be done from time to time.


9. Sanitation stations are available in strategic areas of the Christmas Village.


10. Patrons are advised to observe physical distancing at all times.


11. Food concessionaires are required to comply with Health and Safety protocols pertaining to food and beverage safety, handling, display and service.


12. Please watch your steps as there are ground surfaces around with gravel and adorned with rocks.


13. There will be marshals to monitor and strictly implement protocols. Any person who will violate any of our Health, Safety, rules and regulations shall be asked to leave the premises of the Christmas Village.


14. The Baguio Country Club shall not be liable for the loss or damage of valuables and personal belongings brought inside the Christmas Village.


15. Baguio Country Club reserves the right to close the Christmas Village during inclement weather or for emergency reasons.
