Camalaniugan, Cagayan - A cock-figtting breeder, or "Mananabong,” in Camalaniugan, Cagayan, was jailed after illegal firearms and ammunition were recovered from him during a coordinated operation by the authorities on Friday, November 29.

The suspect, hidden under the name "Lando," a resident of Barangay Jurisdiction, Camalaniugan, was arrested through two search warrants served by the authorities at his house and on his farm.

According to Police Captain Jessie Alonzo, chief of PNP-Camalaniugan, the search warrants were issued against Lando after his neighbors reported him for indiscriminate firing and turning his farm into a firing range.

In his interview with local media near the area, the PNP chief said 36 pieces of ammunition for caliber 38 and caliber 22 were recovered from Alonzo's house, while 5 caliber 38 guns, a long rifle, and an improvised caliber 22 all without licenses were confiscated on his farm.
