College beauty is Libnos ti Santa Marcela 2023

Sta. Marcela, Apayao – A 20-year-old college student is the new Santa Marcela queen.

Besting five other beauties, Kate Joy Galano was crowned ‘Libnos ti Santa Marcela’ on the night of June 17 at the EKB Memorial Sports Complex.

Libnos means a neat and pretty woman of good character worthy of emulation.

Galano who represented Cluster 6 likewise amassed various awards during the coronation night. These are Best in Isnag Attire, Best in Evening Gown, Miss PCL Apayao, Best in Production Number, Best in Casual Wear, and Best in Swim Wear.

The 20-year-old belle advocates promotion of Santa Marcela’s tourism like the picturesque and placid Bacut Lake.

“Tourism has been a booming industry these days in our dear municipality of Santa Marcela. As a college student taking BS in Hospitality Management which is an arm of the career in tourism, I would like to involve myself and participate in the promotion of tourism in our beloved town like the Bacut Lake Eco-Tourism Complex and the Nature Park,” she said.

The Miss Festival Queen and Miss Tourism, meantime, were earned by Leslie Cabanglan of Cluster 1 and Dionne Luis Medrazo, Cluster 5, respectively.

Cabanglan was awarded Most Photogenic, Queen of the Ramp, Best in Talent, and Miss Honda Ace while Mendrazo got Most Articulate, Best in Festival Attire, and Miss Angelo- Julian Store.

Mia Roter,18 of Cluster 3 was the first runner-up; Shiena Payaqui,17 of Cluster 4, second; and Rachelle Julian, 18 of Cluster 2 was the third runner-up.
