College student dies in tragic motorcycle crash in Tabuk City

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A life was lost in a 3-motorcycle collision in Tabuk City on Tuesday evening, Oct. 10, 2023.


The accident happened around 9:50 p.m. along the intersection of the Provincial Road in Bulanao, just in front of Landbank.

According to the initial investigation by the police, a Yamaha 155 being ridden by two police officers in Tabuk came from the direction of the white carabao and was heading towards the direction of the Davidson Hotel.


While traversing the provincial road, said vehicle turned left, and upon reaching the place of incident, a Sniper 155 motorcycle described to be speeding crashed against the Yamaha 155.


The impact sent the Sniper 155 at least 15 meters away from the point of collision, throwing its male rider, a college student from Barangay Dupag, approximately 12 meters away from the vehicle.


The Yamaha 155, on the other hand, lost its balance and sent its two female occupants to the ground. Its rider, unfortunately, was run over by another Sniper 155 driven by an 18-year-old college student.

It was said that the 18-year-old rider was following the first Sniper 155 motorcycle.


The involved individuals were rushed to the hospital. The male driver of the Sniper 155, unfortunately, passed away due to his injuries.


The incident is still under investigation.
