Tabuk City, Kalinga – “Let the course of time bring healing and reconciliation to everyone as I appeal that we forget the animosities of the election period and let love and compassion reign again in our hearts.”

Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang posted this in his Facebook page, a day after the Commission on Election proclaimed his success in the congressional race.

Mangaoang won the seat with a landslide victory after he gained the favor of 94, 430 voters against Roy Dickpus who got 29, 744 votes.

Reginald Wacas along with the three counsels of Mangaoang namely Atty. Minerva Taguinod, Atty. Debbie Sallidao, and Atty. Eddie Bulliyat represented the solon during the proclamation on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hall.

The congressman has earlier expressed his concern over the political threats experience by his camp in the duration of the campaign period as the “just concluded election has been so polarizing and has left abysmal wounds among friends, relatives and even families.”

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, he asked that the people live in compassion.

The winning candidate thanked yKalingas for their support, sacrifices and for believing in him.

“The overwhelming support manifests your deep trust and confidence that this humble representation can continue with the development initiatives you wish to be done in our beloved province for the next three years,” said Mangaoang in his social media page.

He vowed to pursue the development and legislative initiatives that he started in his first two terms, further assuring his constituents that he carries their vision in his mandate and that he shall endeavour to do the best he can.

“Thank you very much, God bless our Beloved Province! God Bless us All… MATATAGO TAKO LOSAN!” concluded Mangaoang.
