Construction worker in Isabela shot dead by a security guard

Isabela, Philippines – A heated altercation at a karaoke bar in Santiago City on Christmas resulted into the death of a construction worker after he was shot by a security guard, police reported.

The victim was identified by the police as Mark Anthony Teñoso Reyes, 29 and a construction worker while the suspect was Carlos Dela Cruz Mora, 33 and a security guard.

In his interview with 104.9 XFM Santiago, Police Lieutenant Jeffrey Viloria, the Deputy Chief of Santiago City Police Station 2 narrated that Reyes and Mora had a heated disagreement at the bar on December 25.

The tension between them, however, went beyond control causing the suspect to draw his Caliber 9mm pistol and shot the victim in the face. The bullet was said to have entered right through the victim’s head which caused his death.

The police immediately pursued Mora and arrested him at his boarding house.

The suspect is expected to face a case for Homicide.
