Construction worker jailed for multiple rape in Santiago, Isabela

Isabela, Philippines – A young construction worker who stands accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl in Santiago City, Isabela was arrested earlier this week.


The suspect, alias “Josh”, allegedly raped the victim, whose identity was withheld, repeatedly.


“Josh,” 19, a resident of Barangay Naggasican, Santiago, is among the city’s Top Most Wanted Persons. He is facing statutory rape charges and four counts of acts of lasciviousness.

Through the joint operation of Mobile Patrol Unit and Santiago City Police Office – Station 2, the suspect was successfully arrested in Jones, Isabela.


He is now in the custody of SCPO Station 2.


No bail was recommended for his rape charges, while P180,000 bail was set for his acts of lasciviousness.


As for the minor victim, she underwent psychological counseling under the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
