Construction worker shot in the head in Tabuk City dies in hospital

Tabuk City, Kalinga — A construction worker was found lying on the ground with blood oozing from his head Wednesday night, May 25, 2022, along the Provincial Road in Purok 7, Bulanao, according to Tabuk police.

Around 9:30 PM, the cops proceeded to the Provincial Road going to the Kalinga Hostel to respond to a supposed vehicular traffic accident. However, upon arriving at the crime scene, they found a man lying on his back beside his trike with blood flowing from his head.

The police identified the man as a 33-year-old resident of Dagupan Centro. Name withheld as investigation progresses.

The victim was immediately rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital by the Bureau of Fire Protection where then he was revived by the attending physician.

The attending doctor later said that the victim was possibly shot based on the hole in his right parotid area, with the bullet exiting in his left frontal lobe.

Unfortunately, around 11:20 PM of the same date, the victim expired.

His body was brought to TAMPCO Funeral Homes and Services for Post Mortem Examination. The crime scene was processed by the Kalinga Provincial Crime Lab.

The incident is still being investigated by the police.
