2 educational institutions in Cordillera top Dec. 2022 Criminology Licensure Exam


Baguio City, Philippines – Two higher education institutions in Cordillera proved yet again to be among the leading schools in criminology with stupendous passing rates in the latest Criminologist Licensure Exam.


To be a top performing school, one has to have 50 or more examinees with at least 80% passing rate.

With 70 passers out of 80 examinees or 87.50 passing percentage, King's College of the Philippines Inc. in Benguet province ranked 4th while the University of Cordilleras landed 6th this time with 44 passers out of 52 takers or 84.62 percent.


The two HEIs used to be the holder of the top performing school banner in previous exam results.


Back June 2019, the criminologist last board exam administered before the pandemic, UC notched the title, recording 100 percent passing rate of its 101 takers.

In December 2021, the title was passed to King's College of the Philippines Inc. – Benguet after recording only one failure out of its 97 examinees, therefore recording 98.97 passing percentage.


In the June 2022, UC grabbed the banner anew with 134 passers out of 142 takers.


Overall, 11,098 out of 33,489 passed the said exam last December 2022, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday, 30 working days from the last day of examination.


Narcilisa Ponase Talipnao, a graduate of University of Baguio, from Atok town in Benguet topped the CLE.
