Cordillera unity gong echoes in Tanudan, Kalinga

Tanudan, Kalinga – The sound of the Cordillera unity gong resonated in the Municipality of Tanudan on July 11, 2022.

The said gong was received by the Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag and Vice Mayor Santos Dalayap from the Local Government Unit of Rizal at the Cogawe boundary in Cudal, Tabuk City.

After the unity gong was ceremoniously beat at the boundary, it was brought to Sitio Banagao, Poblacion.

During the formal program, Provincial Planning and Development Officer Flordeliza Moldero explained that the gong which is being relayed to the different municipalities and the city in Kalinga from July 9 is part of the celebration of the 35th Cordillera Day.

“The relay of the unity gong calls for action, cooperation and of course full support sa advocacy on regional autonomy,” she said.

Before the program was closed, the officials from Tanudan and Rizal again beat the gong.

On July 12, LGU Tanudan turned over the unity gong to Tabuk City Local Government Unit. This marked the culmination of the gong relay in Kalinga.
