Opened on Sept. 18, this year’s ROTC Games aimed at equipping the youth with higher and more complex leadership roles and necessary skills to thrive in the international arena, and at the same time promote robust sports and ROTC programs for holistic development.

Among the sports being contested in the event include volleyball, basketball, arnis, kickboxing, boxing, athletics, and Call of Duty as e-sport, among others.

With her exceptional speed, army cadet Jesylmay Licup of the University of Baguio ruled the women's division of 100-meter dash. Before making it to the finals, she beat 15 competitors from other regions to snatch a gold medal in the Luzon of the competition.

Cadet Avygail Ummas of Ifugao State University shared the spotlight as she led the winners of the women’s non-traditional single weapon in the arnis match, pocketing the gold medal.

Meanwhile, cadet Dennis Deo-ay of Benguet State University won a bronze medal in the men's non-traditional single weapon.
