Abra farmer turned actor now with Viva Artists Agency

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A Cordilleran actor hailing from Barangay Macray, Bangued has been added to the growing roster of VIVA Artists Agency, the home of notable stars like Sarah Geronimo, Nadine Lustre and other prominent actors in the show business industry.


Abrenian actor and model Jc Tan Bites who spent his childhood and teenage days in Abra signed his contract to the agency on Friday, July 8, 2022.

“Hindi ko maipaliwanag ang aking kasiyahan! Una sa lahat pinapasalamatan ko ikaw panginoon lumikha sa biyayang iyong ipinag katiwala. I will do my best to show what I got,” the actor expressed in his Facebook post.


The actor who is a product of Patucannay Elementary School and Abra High School in Bangued was once a farmer, according to an article published in Linkedin.


He became a part-time dishwasher in Manila before he was finally offered to play commercial gigs.

In 2013, he began his acting career as extra in television shows. He also appeared in TV commercials.


The most notable TV commercial he did was the Smart Communications Break Barriers, which he considers as his biggest break. Various projects then came after.


The Abrenian actor became part of Kiray Celis’ “Pahina”, Hero Foundation’s short film “Dahon”, and several print advertisements including that of McDonald’s.

He also starred in TV5’s “Amo” and Brillante Mendoza’s “Right to Kill”. Bites also became officially a part of the International Indie film project Kabute.


In 2020, he starred in the quarantine-themed anthology gay series Unlocked – one of the most watched series of all time on GagaOOLala streaming platform.
