Couple robbed and killed in Aparri, Cagayan

Cagayan, Philippines – Around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, June 09, a son happened to visit his father living with his partner in Barangay Punta, Aparri, Cagayan.

The house was unlocked and when he opened the door, he saw Derlina Bambalan, 47, the live-in partner of his father bathing on her own blood, while his dad was fighting for his breath.

His father identified as Ramon Ramones, 67, was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The investigator of the case, PCpl Darryl John Bingil said the couple might have been hit in their head by a hard object, based on the wounds they sustained.

While further investigation is ongoing, the son of Ramones confirmed there are missing materials in the house.

The couple was known for their money lending business and the list of those who borrowed from them, including an unspecified amount of money, was among the items missing.
