CS exam applicants in Kalinga urged to appear on appointment schedules

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Civil Service Commission - Kalinga now calls on applicants who have successfully registered and reserved their appointment schedules to appear before their office on their set schedules.

The reminder was made after the office observed that there were applicants whose appointment schedules were canceled after they were not able to appear on their scheduled appearance.

In an interview with GURU Press Cordillera, CSC Kalinga head Tess Biteng explained that if applicants do not appear within 72 hours of their schedule, their appointment slots automatically get cancelled to give way to other online registrants.

Upon successful registration and reservation of an appointment schedule, applicants must present their valid ID and submit to CSC-Kalinga the application requirements, which include the duly accomplished application form (CS Form 100, Revised September 2016) and four pieces of recently taken (not more than three months ago) passport-size I.D. pictures on a white background.

The ID should also show the applicant’s bare face (without eyeglasses or any accessory that may cover facial features), with a hand-held and written name tag legibly showing the applicant’s signature over the printed full name.

On the update regarding the online registration, Biteng said almost 2,000 applicants have already booked their schedules, thus the need for them to temporarily close the online application.

However, Biteng hinted the possibility of re-opening the system for applications once the slots for Apayao are filled.

Kalinga, according to her, was provided with 2,000 slots for the number of examinees.

“As of the moment, han pay nareach diay 2,000 ta, it is online pailang. Adu ti nakaonline nga [masapul pay] nga ag-appear pay kadakami, but nagclose gaminen ti booking because we have to accommodate dagituy nakaonline.

However, 5oo slots are still open for Apayao for the online application, which can be availed of even for those who are from Kalinga.

Registration for the CS Exams is until January 3, 2024, while the examination is slated for March 3, 2024.
