CSU – Carig produces topnotcher from its Library and Information Science pioneer batch

Cagayan, Philippines – While it is a newly-opened course, Cagayan State University – Carig Campus managed to produce a topnotcher from the pioneer batch of its Library and Information Science program.

The Professional Regulation Commission announced on Friday, Sept. 15 that 555 out of 886 examinees of the September 2023 Librarian Licensure Examination(LLE) made it to the list of passers.

Of the 555, Peter John Ballad of CSU–Carig secured the 9th spot in the top 10 list of passers after garnering a rating of 87.45%.

Ballad belonged to the first batch of the Bachelor of Library and Information Science of CSU–Carig Campus. Even before he graduated, his record as a student was already promising based on the awards he received on his graduation.

These include Academic Distinction, Service Award, and Academic Excellence in Library Management, in Reference, Bibliography and Information Services, in Selection and Acquisition of Multimedia Resources, in Cataloging and Classification, and Academic Excellence in Information Technology.

CSU – Carig Campus doesn’t just delight in Ballad’s feat but also with the 100% passing and institutional rate of the university in the September 2023 LLE. This is because the 15 graduates who composed the pioneer batch passed the board exam.
