Dagupan Centro Punong Barangay warns public against carnappers

Tabuk City, Kalinga – If it hadn’t been locked, a motorcycle in Dagupan Centro would have been successfully taken by thieves while its owner was asleep.

At 2:00 a.m. on Sept. 11, a CCTV camera caught two male individuals carrying a motorcycle on Mayangao Street, just in front of the Dagupan Public Market.

The two men tried to break the motorcycle’s lock, but after multiple attempts, they gave up and left the vehicle at the side of the road.

Dagupan Centro Punong Barangay George Esteras told Guru Press Cordillera that the motorcycle’s owner parked the vehicle at their driveway. He added that was the first time he put his motorcycle there.

With the incident, Esteras advised the public particularly the motorists to be more vigilant and to lock their motorcycles and vehicles when leaving them.

“Mas maymayat nga nu rabii, uray pay nu aldaw ket i-lock da kuma. Ngem for safety, iyuneg da dagiay motor ta talaga nga kasla rampant manen dayta carnap tatta,” he said.
