Dagupan Centro, Tabuk City gets medicines from PCSO

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Through the initiative of Barangay Captain George Esteras, Dagupan Centro received four boxes of assorted medicines from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) this January 24, 2022, at PCSO-Kalinga Branch Office.


Esteras, in an interview, disclosed that the donations worth P20,000 were made possible through the request he submitted in December 2021.


“Nag-request kami di last month gapu ta kayat mi lang makatulong kadagiay constituents ta nagkataon nga agkailangan ti paracetamol ken dadduma nga agas. In-grant da met a dagus diay request,” the barangay captain stated.

The donation handed over by PCSO-Kalinga Branch Manager Romel Ramos is under the Medicine Donation Program of the office.


According to Esteras, among the medicines they obtained are 1,000 tablets of 500 mg Ascorbic Acid (Vit C), 1,000 tablets of Vitamin B Complex, 418 capsules of Omeprazol with 20 mg, Amoxicillin, Ceterizine, Lagundi, Mefenamic, Metformin, Paracetamol, and Omeprazole.


The barangay officials, he said, will be coordinating with the personnel of Rural Health Unit 1 for the distribution of said medicines.

Esteras extended his gratitude for the help given by PCSO as he vowed continued support to the office.


“Supsuportaan tayo ladta ti PCSO karkaru dagiti legal a panagtaytaya ta adu piman dagiay makitkita a tulong da in return to the community, haan a kasla dagita illegal nga agpapa-bet nga awan met maisubli da ti tao,” added the barangay captain.


It can be recalled that three families from the same barangay benefited from the ‘Maagang Pamaskong Handog’ of PCSO where each family received P4,000 worth grocery items.
