Baguio City, Philippines – The first day of the four-day digitalized Bar examination held Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Saint Louis University ended ‘safely and securely,’ the Baguio City Police Office reported Friday.

The BCPO relayed zero untoward incidents were recorded at SLU Main Campus.

As recalled, a liquor ban was implemented from midnight of November 08 up to 10 p.m. of November 09 within the 50-meter radius from the testing venue to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the examination.

The same ban will be imposed from midnight of November 12, 15, and 19 up to 10 p.m. of each of the following days to maintain safety in the succeeding examinations set on November 13, 16, and 20.

For the duration of the temporary liquor ban, public consumption and distribution of liquor and other alcoholic beverages will strictly be prohibited in the covered areas, said the city government of Baguio.

Some 94 personnel of the city police office will again be deployed at the campus to secure the examinees.

The peaceful administration of the exam is a result of the joint effort of the police, officials of Barangay A. Bonifacio Caguioa Rimando (ABCR), and the Public Order and Safety Division of Baguio.

The Supreme Court announced that 1,000 of the total 9,821 Bar takers are expected to take the exam at SLU.

After February 2022, this is the second time that the Bar exams are held in regional testing centers.
