LGU Driver in Abra shot dead, investigation underway

Dolores, Abra – An in-depth investigation is now being carried out by police after a triggerman shot to death a 30-year-old LGU driver in Dolores, Abra, police said.

The incident happened around 4:40 PM on Tuesday, January 17, along the road in Talogtog, Dolores.

Dolores police who were informed of the incident found the victim - Regie Timbreza, a resident of Kimmalaba in said town, bathing with his own blood when they responded.

He sustained wounds on his chest resulting in his death.

He was then ferried to Abra Provincial Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by his attending physician.

At the crime scene, 9 fired cartridge cases of a 9mm gun, a fired cartridge case of caliber 45, and a slug of a caliber 45 firearm were recovered.

As of press time, police are yet to establish the motive of the crime.
