DENR – Cordillera assistant director is Nat'l Security Administration Class Valedictorian

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Cordillera Assistant Regional Director for Management Services bested other professionals and topped her class at the National Defense College of the Philippines.

Attorney Cleo Sabado – Andrada graduated as the Class Valedictorian of this year’s Master of National Security Administration program.

Said course designed for military officers, government officials, and private sector leaders covers formulation, implementation, and evaluation of policies and programs of national security administration.

Andrada likewise received the gold medal for Academic Excellence Award and an Outstanding Thesis distinction for her research entitled, "The National Greening Program on the Identified End Local Communists Armed Conflict (ELCAC) Barangays in Abra: Status and Directions."

Her study covered the impact of the implementation of the DENR’s reforestation program in former conflict-affected areas.

Andrada, through the DENR – Cordillera Facebook page, conveyed she felt a sense of accomplishment, both on personal and professional level, with the outcome of her thesis.

“I was relieved and proud to learn that the DENR-CAR has made a meaningful environmental and socio-economic impact on ELCAC areas. At the same time, I was relieved to have finished a substantial thesis that I can use to make informed plans and decisions in my organization," she was quoted saying.

Now that she finished her master studies in National Security Administration, Andrada was qualified to become a reservist of the Philippine Army and she also earned a Career Executive Service Officer rank.
