Man in Isabela hangs himself due to depression over brother's death

Isabela, Philippines – A construction worker reportedly hung himself using a nylon rope in Barangay Batal, Santiago City, Isabela.

The 59-year-old victim from Barangay Rosario, Santiago City was found dead at their work site by the foreman who happened to visit the site.

Police said that before the incident, the laborer has been drinking liquor and suffered from depression with the recent passing of his younger brother.

The grieving family of the victim refused autopsy of the deceased.
