DILG-CAR awards Kalinga, component LGUs Good Financial Housekeeping 2021

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Province of Kalinga and its component local government units are passers of the Good Financial Housekeeping for Fiscal Year 2021, announced the Department of Interior and Local Government – Cordillera on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

Good Financial Housekeeping, explained the department, is awarded to LGUs in recognition of their financial transparency compliance and accountability.

Said citation is one of the main components of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

To pass the Good Financial Housekeeping LGUs must pass the assessment, which includes accounting and auditing standards, rules and regulations; and must qualify for the review of the Commission on Audit (COA) for calendar years 2019 or 2020.

Another criterion considered is the compliance of the LGUs with the Full Disclosure Policy, which involves posting all 14 documents in three conspicuous places and in the FDP portal for all quarters of CY 2020 and the first quarter of CY 2021.

Data are based on the uploaded audit report to the COA as of November 5, 2021, and FDP Compliance.

Among the passer LGUs aside from the provincial government unit are Pasil, Tinglayan, Tanudan, Lubuguan, Balbalan, Pinukpuk, Rizal, and Tabuk City.
