Baguio City, Philippines - The dismembered body of a 55-year-old police sergeant was unearthed by the authorities at his fellow police officer’s ancestral home compound in Baguio City on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

This is one week after he was reportedly killed due to his alleged affair with the suspect’s wife.

The victim, Police Executive Master Sergeant Emmanuel Ballos De Asis, a resident of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, was assigned at the Puerto Princesa City Police Office.

The accused, meanwhile, was identified as Police Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Pascua, 45.

According to the report from the Baguio City Police Office obtained by the DZWT 540 AM—Radyo Totoo, Pascua already admitted to the investigators that he did the crime through an ‘extrajudicial confession.’.

Pascua confessed that on November 28, 2024, he caught De Asis and his wife, Rosemarie,  making love at their rented apartment in Taguig City, Metro Manila.

Because of his anger, he shot De Asis in front of Rosemarie, also a police officer,  resulting in the victim’s death.

The crime did not end there, as Pascua ordered Rosemarie to get a hacksaw to cut De Asis’s body into pieces.

After that, the wife put the dismembered body into sacks, loaded the pieces into their pickup truck, brought to their ancestral home compound in Barangay Pucsusan, Baguio City, and buried the body there.

At present, Pascua is in the custody of Taguig City Police Station and is now under inquest proceedings.

De Asis remains, meanwhile, was brought home by his relatives on Friday, December 6 in Barangay Santa Monica, Puerto Princesa City, for his wake.
