DTI – Kalinga announces TOP 3 winners of YEP’s ‘Project MARITES’ 2024


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The top 3 winners of this year’s Youth Entrepreneurship Program- Project ‘MARITES’ of the Department of Trade and Industry Kalinga were announced by the DTI-Kalinga on Saturday, July 27 through its Facebook page.

Participated in by 25 young entrepreneurs, the three-day Project MARITES 2024 training held from July 23-26 at the Kalinga State University in Bulanao, Tabuk City, provided the young entrepreneurs with adequate knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship.


The highlight of the training is the Business Pitch competition.

Only 21 of them were able to showcase their pitch decks to the panel of judge-mentors.

The pitch served as the main factor that determines the winners.

The judges for the business pitch were Ms. Rosiebeth Padua of Alberto's Pizzeria and Ristorante, Ms. Sunshine Sacki-Molintas of Kalinga Mountain Roasters by QRS Farms, and Mr. Nollie Dangli Jerson, Dean of the KSU-College of Business Administration and Accountancy.

Eduardo Bautista Jr. clinched the top spot with his innovative business Zhebby's Chili Products featuring its Chili Paste con Chicken Pastil.

Meantime, Jerald Encollado was in second place with his promising business, JE Dairy Farm, while Danny Joe N. Perona took third place with his ingenious business, DNDL's Integrated Farm.

Said winners will represent Kalinga in the upcoming Regional Business Pitch Competition this August in Baguio City.
