DTI-Kalinga invites entrepreneurs to join online business mentoring


Tabuk City, Kalinga―The Department of Trade and Industry-Kalinga is calling for entrepreneurs to participate in the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program online to capacitate them to be more competitive and establish wider business linkages.


KMME Online is a 10-module mentorship program that optimizes weekly online interactions between the mentors and mentees purposely to boost the entrepreneurial competence through improved access to Mentorship, Money and Market.


Wayleen Datic, DTI-Kalinga Trade-Industry Development Analyst, related that this short course will provide knowledge for the improvement of their capacity building on marketing, finance, human resource, and operations management.

“More on learning on how to manage your business, capacity building kasi yung purpose nung program so we are looking for individuals na willing matuto. Ito din is makaka-meet ka ng different entrepreneurs within CAR na mga participants kaya more on experience sharing,” she said.


The 10-module mentorship program also aims to provide an avenue for business mentorship of the waitlisted MSEs across the regions and enhance their resiliency through crisis intervention.


The modules will cover entrepreneurial mind-setting and values formation, marketing mindset, business model canvas, operations management, digitalization, supply and value chain management, accounting and finance for small business, human resource management, market-driven innovation, good governance and ethics, government services and business improvement plan presentation.


At the end of the mentorship, the participants shall prepare and present Business Improvement Plan (BIP) as their output for the program. It is to develop practical delivery mechanism for the Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to thrive despite the pandemic.


KMME online is free but can accommodate only 16 participants for Batch 2 in Kalinga.
