DTI-Kalinga now accepts applicants for KMME-MME batch 2023

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry-Kalinga is now accepting applicants for the Kapatid Mentor ME-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) for batch 2023, the agency announced Thursday, January 26.


Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) is a program that aims to help Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs in scaling up their business through weekly mentoring and coaching by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship such as marketing, finance, and human resource.


Last year, 18 mentees graduated and benefited from the program.

For this year’s KMME, the agency said it will be a free online business mentorship where mentees or business owners will have the opportunity to sign up online for a 10-module course program.


Mentoring and coaching will also be done through the Zoom application from March to September this year.


Submission of application will end on March 3, 2023.


All the applications summited shall be subject to screening and evaluation by the DTI-Kalinga.

Criteria


Based on the criteria posted by the department, applicants must be 18 to 50 years old, Filipino and a resident of the Philippines.


They must be under the priority sector of the KMME program and engaging in tourism, Service-Oriented Businesses, online sellers, sari-sari store and Restaurant / Café / Carinderia, among others. Applicants must be the owner or co-owner and/or partner of the business.


Businesses must be registered and operating for at least one year, has employee/s and/or manages a team with Micro Enterprise segment below P3 Million.


They should also be willing to attend sessions and activities scheduled by the agency and sign Pledge of Commitment with DTI.

Tools required


To participate in the online mentoring and coaching, applicants must have a laptop or desktop or mobile phone, stable internet connectivity, headset or earphones, and a personal Facebook account.
