DTI-Kalinga produces 18 Entrep graduates from online mentorship



Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry in Kalinga province produced 18 entrepreneur mentee-graduates from Kapatid Mentor Me-Money and Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online 2022 Batch 1 and 2.


The KMME-MME is a 10-module mentorship program of the department, in collaboration with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship-Go Negosyo.


The modules are designed to prepare the entrepreneurs for their integration in the value chains of medium and large enterprises.

Covered in the online mentorship are entrepreneurial and marketing mindset, business model canvas, operations management, digitalization, supply and value chain, human resource management, accounting and finance, product development, market expansion and internalization, and the business law.


Upon the module completion, the mentees applied the knowledge they gained from the mentorship and came up with Business Improvement Plan that they presented to the panel of mentors.


After complying with said requirements, the first batch of the program from Kalinga were proclaimed graduate during the regional virtual graduation program held Tuesday afternoon, September 06.


Entrepreneurs comprising Batch 1 are as follows: owner of Michelle Food Products, Evalyn Aguinas; owner of Balcony Food Hub, Jesieca Amoyen; owner of RBD Welding Shop, Machineries and Merchandise, Princess Anne Dapeg; owner of Upland Food Products, Maria Rhea Dizon; owner of Y-Kalinga Tapis Handloom Woven Products, Elvira Dupli; owner of Gemmaghemsc Food Products, Gemma Garcia; owner of Namit Gid Food House, Mary Janese Jereza; owner of Mi-khy's Food Products, Hazel Jude Martinez; and owner of K Jhada’s Beads Fashion Accessories Trading, Kristine Tabanganay.


The second batch, on the hand, had their graduation on Wednesday.

Among the Kalinga entrepreneurs of said batch are: Nathaniel A. Valdez, owner of Eternitea Milktea Shop, Joan M. Daluson of Benlyl Food Products, Janine W. Camtugan of Camtugan Agricultural Products Trading, Michele O. Vargas of M.V Arts & Signs, Relaida P. Bali of Laida’s Delicacies, Janine G. Cinco of Hailey’s Food Hub, Hessle Lee B. Legaspi of HLBC Pharmacy, Jaymar A. Paragas of Parway’s Handicraft Manufacturing, and Romel V. Lalic of Hanz Mobile Kitchen.


The mentees will have their provincial graduation on Friday, September 09 at a local resort in Bulanao, Tabuk City.


Congratulating the graduates, the DTI-Kalinga under Provincial Director Renie Ramos advised the graduate entrepreneurs in the locality to sustain the application of the lessons and strive further for the business development.
