Edduba urges iKalingas to support Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Speaking in front of thousands of attendees during the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA)  anniversary celebration on Friday, June 14, Governor James Edduba urged Kalinga residents to support the anti-illegal drug program.

The celebration was successfully hosted by the province with the Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos Jr., serving as the guest of honor and speaker.

In his speech during the event’s program, Edduba underscored that in order to eliminate the presence of illegal drugs, not just in the province but in the whole country, every individual should participate and make an effort.

“The drug problem is not confined to any region or locality. It is a national issue that demands national response,” said the governor.

The governor likewise asked residents to support the BIDA program, stating that cooperation will make the province free from illegal drugs.

‘Let us continue to support this program, with us together, we can and will make a difference,’ he said.

For his part, Abalos, who was declared an adoptive son of Kalinga during the program, committed that he will continue to serve the public with respect, honesty, and bravery.

Moreover, the secretary expressed his sincere thanks to all the individuals who attended the event saying ‘Maraming maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat … Mabuhay ang Kalinga’.
