61-yr.-old rider killed in head-on collision in Tuguegarao City

Tuguegarao City, Philippines – A 61-year-old rider died after two motorcycles collided head on along a national highway at Zone 1, Larion Alto, Tuguegarao town around 11:53 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2023.

Initial report by authorities stated that Pedro Dulin from Zone 2, Alimannao, Peñablanca, along with his wife as back rider, was on board a sports motorcycle and was heading towards the north direction in said area when an oncoming motorcycle struck them.

Accordingly, Jose Telan, 76, from Bical village of Peñablanca, swerved and encroached the opposite lane in an attempt to overtake a vehicle, causing him to collide with the approaching motorcycle ridden by Dulin.

Dulin who was thrown off his motorcycle following the impact sustained spinal cord injury and multiple abrasions. He was rushed to Cagayan Valley Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the victim’s wife and Telan suffered injuries and were later transported to a medical facility for proper medical treatment.
