Family of slain ex-village chief in Isabela seeks justice

Santa Maria, Isabela - The family of the former barangay captain in Poblacion 1, Santa Maria, Isabela who was gunned down is seeking justice for his death.

On Thursday, Jan. 05, the victim Facundo Gazzingan Bingayan, 74, a resident of Bliss Site, Poblacion 1, went out and did not return to his family home.

It was past 7:00 AM the following day when Bingayan was found at a cornfield in San Antonio village but was already dead with a gunshot wound on his head.

The police recovered an empty shell from a caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene.

An investigation is underway to pinpoint a motive and the person responsible for the killing.

Meanwhile, the family cries for authorities to bring the killer to justice.
