Farmer in Tabuk City dies after getting hit by 'speeding' motorcycle

Tabuk City, Kalinga - A farmer was riding his motorcycle going to his supposed destination when he was hit by a 'speeding' motorcycle along Dilag road Monday evening, August 01, 2023.

The man was identified by the Tabuk City police as Cesar Ambatang, of legal age, and a resident of Barangay Dilag.

Based on CCTV footage, Ambatang was seen traversing the irrigation road at Sitio Sapote, Casigayan as he intended to go towards Dagupan Centro direction around 6:40 p.m.

As he was about to turn left, a motorcycle driven by a certain Michael Siwal, 19, coming from Dagupan and heading to Dilag crashed against the older man's Yamaha MIO.

Both riders were seriously injured and were rushed to the Kalinga Provincial Hospital.

Ambatang, unfortunately, passed away at the hospital while Siwal was admitted for his injuries.
