Man in Tabuk City asks for help for wife battling against lupus

A husband in Tabuk City is asking for help for his 40-year-old wife battling with hypertension, gallstone, and now with symptoms of lupus or a disease that causes immune system to attack tissues and organs of the body.

Lupus is also said to affect joints, kidneys, blood cells, skin, heart and lungs, and also the brain, which may cause the patient headaches, dizziness, behavior changes, vision problems, and even stroke or seizures.

Apart from the condition of the wife, the man said he is also taking care of their 2-month-old premature baby.

Reynaldo Tongdo Banganan related that his wife Judith Abalnog Sagban just gave birth to their second child on March 21, 2022 through a cesarean section.

According to Reynaldo, Judith has been sick since 2019, but her symptoms have worsened recently, being in and out of different hospitals. He said his partner has been feeling weak and is unable to walk properly due to stomachache, dizziness, and vision problems.

Her symptoms were associated with lupus, which is why after being discharged from the hospital in Tabuk City on May 23, Judith was recommended for a blood test in Tuguegarao City to confirm if she really has the disease. Likewise, the 40-year-old mom has to undergo surgery for her gallstone.

However, their recent hospital bills caused them more than a hundred thousand. Their resources have already been exhausted by even using their relatives’ money.

Reynaldo said they have no source of income as of the moment as he cannot go back to work as a member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) for he cannot leave his sick wife.

Reynaldo added that while he takes care of Judith, their 17-year-old daughter is the one looking after her 2-month-old sibling.

They have no other means to provide for Judith’s medical needs and immediate operation.
