Faulty wiring seen as cause of fire along Session Road in Baguio

Baguio City, Philippines – Faulty electrical wirings could have caused the fire that gutted Thaneng Building, near Gamboa Building along Upper Session Road of Baguio City on Monday afternoon, July 24, 2023.

Initial investigation conducted by Bureau of Fire Protection – Baguio states the short circuit at the basement of the building may have started the fire at around 1:40 p.m.

With the help of responders, the blaze was declared fire out at around 2:30 p.m.

Fortunately, no one was hurt as those in the building were quick to move out upon seeing the fire smoke.

The incident, however, left around P300,000 worth of damages.
