Fire Director from Rizal returns to lead BFP Kalinga

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Chief Inspector Arvin Aquino who hails from Rizal, Kalinga will now be leading the Bureau of Fire Protection personnel in Kalinga after he assumed office as the provincial director this February 14, 2022.


In an interview with Guru Press, Aquino said this is not the first time he will serve his province as he was first assigned as a caretaker of the BFP Kalinga from May 22, 2017, to December 31, 2017.


He added that he also served as the PD of BFP Apayao twice and once in Mountain Province.

Plans for BFP Kalinga


Now that he is back in Kalinga, he has gathered the city and municipal fire marshals to discuss plans to continue what Superintendent Allan Eballar started as well as implement those which are yet to be done.


“Ken nu anya man dagiay nairugi ni sir nga mayat, itul-tuloy tayo. Ken nu anya pay dagiay haan na naaramid nga pagsayaatan met lang, ituloy,” he said.


Aquino added that their activities shall be anchored to BFP’s monthly and yearly events and from the instructions from the national office.


“Instruction nga nagapu national office nga i-implement mi, isu iti sursuruten mi, isu iti guidelines mi tapnu ma-implement mi iti programs,” he said.

24 years in uniformed service


Aquino has been in the uniformed service for 24 years. He finished his degree in Bachelor of Science in Criminology at the University of Cagayan Valley.


While serving as a police officer I, he applied for the Philippine National Police Academy, where he got accepted. He finished his public safety course in 2002.


Instead of continuing to serve as a police officer, Aquino, however, pursued his career with the Bureau of Fire Protection.
