Fire ravages warehouse in Buguias, Benguet, damage reaches P2.9M

Benguet, Philippines – The blaze that engulfed a warehouse in Sitio Esmay, Lower Nakiangan, Abatan, Buguias, Benguet has resulted in an estimated damage of P2.9 million.

Senior Fire Officer Paul Gamongan reported that the fire erupted around 3 a.m. on January 13, and the flames were successfully extinguished by 4:30 a.m.

The collaborative efforts of BFP - Buguias, Buguias MPS, Barangay Officials, and Benguet 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company played a crucial role in containing the fire.

Owned by Romeo Wagayan, the warehouse stored farm supplies, power tools, construction materials, and various equipment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.

The BFP-Buguias is actively investigating the origin of the fire to determine the cause of this unfortunate incident.
