Firearm renewal, registration set on June 2, 3 in Rizal, Kalinga

Rizal, Kalinga – Gun enthusiasts with expired licenses or with unregistered firearms are encouraged to register and renew their gun and license to own firearms on June 2 and 3, 2022 at the IKalinga Firing Range in Barangay Babalag West.

According to Police Captain Ruff Manganip, Rizal Chief of Police, a License to Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF) and Firearms Registration Caravan will be held at said venue this Wednesday and Thursday.

He said that a one-stop shop will be set up by the Police Regional Office Cordillera, PRO2, and NBI region 2 at the IKalinga Firing Range where the applicants can get the needed requirements to secure and renew their license and gun registration.

“All the services a para iti renewal ken registration iti firearms ken panagala iti license ket adda aminen ditoy ta pati police clearance, NBI clearance, seminars, neuro ket maikabil ditoy aminen ditoy one-stop-shop services,” he said.

With this, Manganip is inviting the public with unregistered and expired guns and licenses to own a firearm to proceed to the venue and avail of the services.

“Maaw-awagan dagitoy gun enthusiasts ken dagiti adda iti firearms a haan pay nai-renew ta umay da, ta daytoyen iti kasla chance tayo nga agala iti lisensiya ken i-register dagiti paltog tayo,” he said.

For new LTOPF applicants

The requirement for new applicants includes national police clearance, neuro-psychiatric to be issued by the PNP Health Service, drug test, and gun safety and responsible seminar, which all can be availed at the one-stop shop at the venue.

Also, new applicants must bring two copies of a notarized application form, which could be downloaded online; NSO birth certificate or photocopy of passport or birth certificate from Local Civil Registrar, barangay clearance for LTOPF Purpose of billing, 2 photocopies of a valid government ID, proof of income or payslip for private employees, land title or certification from Barangay Chairman and COP for proof of livelihood for farmers, retirement order, certificate of employment, or appointment order.

For renewal of LTOPF

For the renewal of LTOPF, requirements include two copies of a notarized application form, which could be downloaded online; national police clearance, neuro-psychiatric to be issued by the PNP Health Service, drug test, and photocopy of expired LTOPF.

For PNP personnel

For the PNP personnel who will be getting their LTOPF, they have to bring two copies of a notarized application form, which could be downloaded online; national police clearance, neuro-psychiatric to be issued by the PNP Health Service, drug test, 7 photocopies of valid PNP ID, certificate of duty status, and certificate of non-pending case.

For firearms renewal and registration

For the renewal and registration of firearms, they have to bring two copies of a notarized application form which could be downloaded online; a photocopy of expired FA ID (2013 and below with penalty), and a photocopy of valid LTOPF.
