First ATM in Aguinaldo, Ifugao installed

Aguinaldo, Ifugao – Banking is now safer and more convenient for the people of Aguinaldo, Ifugao with the installation of the very first Automated Teller Machine (ATM) in town.

Determined to help his constituents save time and money from having to travel to nearby towns to do their bank transactions such as salary encashment, Mayor Gaspar Chilagan Jr., backed by the local council led by Vice Mayor Roberto A. Lim-ang, tied up with Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).

On Tuesday, Sept. 05, 2023, the ATM which was previously dreamed of by the municipality, was officially inaugurated and blessed in Ubao village.

Speaking before the community from LBP, Mayor Chilagan extended his utmost gratitude to the government-owned bank for their support in the realization of the project.

The event was graced by the Assistant Vice President of LBP – Santiago Branch, Virginia Sevilla, the mayor and vice mayor themselves, and Ubao officials led by Punong Barangay George N. Limante Jr., among others.

The newly installed ATM located near the public market at Ubao Barangay Hall is open 24 hours a day.
