Five yKalingas top the Bureau of Corrections Basic Course

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Five yKalingas proved they have the strength and the brainpower to ace the Bureau of Corrections basic course after topping their academic and non-academic class.

 

These five belonged to the 504 graduates of the Corrections Officer Custodial Basic Course Class 01 – 2023 “Payonirus”. The five officially concluded their 6-month training this May 23, 2024.


Leading the 504 new correction officers is CO1 Elvies Dammay of Tanudan, Kalinga, who achieved a general average of 94.61%.

 

Joining him in the top 10 list is CO1 Roxanne Tumapang of Tinglayan who landed in top 5; CO1 Ilona Sayud, Tinglayan, top 7; CO1 Keith Baculi, Tanudan, top 9; and CO1 Reden Rojado of Pinukpuk who was top 10.

 

These five received a plaque and a medal.

 

Other Cordilleran who topped the course includes CO1 Elizabeth Sawi of Mountain Province who placed second.
