Flora LGU among 30 towns in PH provided with brand new medical transport vehicle

Flora, Apayao – A brand new patient transport vehicle, aimed at enhancing the medical transport capabilities of the Flora local government unit, was turned over to Mayor Rodolfo Juan on Monday, March 25.

This vehicle, provided by the Philippine Sweepstakes Office, is part of the Medical Transport Vehicle (MTV) Donation Program, which aims to supply at least one ambulance to facilitate the swift and safe transport of patients to and from medical facilities.

The program primarily benefits areas in the country that are geographically isolated, recently affected by conflict, or grappling with vulnerability.

Acquiring such a vehicle involves a strict process, as a comprehensive set of documents, including a formal request letter, a detailed beneficiary profile, and a resolution from local government units, among others, must be provided prior to obtaining one.

Flora and Sta. Marcela are two of the fortunate towns in Apayao that were selected among the 30 beneficiary municipalities in the country to receive these transport vehicles.

For Flora, the new vehicle complements the recently acquired and blessed brand-new ambulance and rescue vehicle earlier this month.

“Forever grateful to our Congresswoman Hon. Eleanor Bulut- Begtang and to the Provincial Government of Apayao through the Leadership of our Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. for the initiative and unending support to the local Government units of Apayao,” the local government wrote.
