Flora Mayor meets local officials, discusses plan for CSC celebration this September

Flora, Apayao - To ensure the success of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary celebration in Flora in September, Mayor Rodolfo Juan, through the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) held a preparatory meeting with various government officials and representatives, on August 12, 2024.

Some employees from National Government agencies such as the PNP, BFP, MCTC, NIA, DILG, BIR, COMELEC, 4ps, Phil-post, and DTI also took part in said meeting and assured their involvement in the upcoming event.

The meeting resulted in the finalization of lined-up activities which will be conducted, with affirmed participation of various offices involved.

The monthlong celebration shall commence on September 2 featuring a fun run activity at 6 AM starting at Bagutong gymnasium, followed by the opening of ball games and weighing of the biggest looser.

The second day will be on September 18, with a tree planting activity. This will be held in separate venues. Marimay Mallig is slated for male participants, and the surroundings of EKB clubhouse are for females. A registration of P250 for said activity will also be collected. 

The culmination program was set on September 27. Activities in the program include a Championship of indoor and outdoor games (Basketball & Volleyball, Chess, Scrabble, Badminton, and Table Tennis), Employees Night, and one of the anticipated highlights, the Search for Mr & Ms. Civil Service Employee 2024.

Mayor Juan said the key drivers of public service are the workers themselves and during the Civil Service Anniversary this year, it is important that they be given recognition for their accomplishments and reminders of the expectations of the people they serve as well as have time to gather together and celebrate their work.

This year's theme "Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes, ”envisioned to capacitate government employees to be more efficient and effective public servants.
