Free gov’t services, discounted products offered to iKalingas in celebration of Pres. Marcos’ birthday

Tabuk City, Kalinga - On Friday, September 13, the most anticipated Diskwento Caravan and Kadiwa ng Pangulo, both of which offer discounted products to the public, took place anew in Kalinga.

 

Said programs were initiated by the provincial government unit of Kalinga through the “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat” and in celebration of the 67th birthday of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

 

Products from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the province were sold to the public at affordable prices. These include vegetables, rice, groceries, Kalinga ethnic attire, and other basic goods.

 

These products were displayed by the MSMEs at the provincial capitol grounds, offering the residents reasonably priced quality products, especially to low-income earners.

 

Aside from said activities, provision of free government services was conducted on the same day at the Kalinga Sports Center.

 

Among the government agencies that provided their services free of charge include the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
