“Go down for people to feel gov't support” - Gov. Edduba to nat'l line agencies

Pasil, Kalinga – “Let’s go down, I think the only way nga marikna ti tao ti suporta ti gobyerno ket nu mapan tayo nga mismo idiay… sabali nga talaga nu mapan tayo baba.”

Governor James Edduba, in his message addressed to the national line agencies, said this during the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP): Community Consultation and Serbisyo Caravan held in Guina-ang on Wednesday, March 08, 2023.

Initiated by local government units of Kalinga and Pasil through their Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict, the convergence program gathered the various agencies to bring government services to the grassroots level.

Projects and programs sought by the village officials were likewise tackled for funding and eventual resolution. Medical caravan was also conducted in said event.

All these are part of the government’s whole-of-nation approach to achieve peace and economic development goals in a bid to alleviate the plight of areas still confronted with the communist insurgency.

Edduba thanked the national line agencies and Pasil LGU led by Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. for heeding his call, and for showing their support for the government’s campaign.

“Nu makita ti kailyan tayo nga adda ti gobyerno nga mangted ti ustu nga mangtaming ti kasapulan tayo, adi han tayo nga agbiruk sabali nga gobyerno, han tayo agbiruk ti daddduma nga ideology,” he said.

Believing that nothing is impossible with the support of everyone, the governor encouraged the community members to cooperate for the realization of his administration’s tagline, “LUMIN-AWA Kalinga.”

The same support is expected in the next RSPC slated for March 15 in Gawaan, Balbalan; April 12, May 17 and 22 in Lower Uma; April 18 in Wagud, Pinukpuk; April 25 in Dupag, Tabuk City; and May 10 in Ab-abaan, Balbalan.
