Updated: Jun 14, 2023

Apayao, Philippines – Emphasizing that no one will and should be left behind in his province, Governor Elias Bulut Jr. promises to prioritize free reliable internet connectivity in far-flung barangays in Apayao.

On June 13, the governor spearheaded the groundbreaking ceremony of the ‘Balay Pagdadarnan’ in Barangays Anninipan and Malayugan in Flora, the first batch to receive the project.

The Balay Pagdadarnan will serve as an emergency evacuation area and also a place where the constituents and the learners enjoy free internet through Starlink.

Acknowledging the importance of internet connectivity in today’s world, Bulut mentioned that the provincial government does not only plan to build ‘Balay Pagdadarnan’ in all 142 barangays of Apayao but they also intend to bring internet to the people.

“The provincial government will provide that internet connectivity through starlink. Isu nga dayta nga pasdek, dayta pagdadarnan at the same time nu emergency adda iti didgra nga mapasamak nga haan tayo nga mapupuutan, adda papanan dagiti ubbing tayo,” he said.
