Gov. Diclas, one of Ph’s best performing governor in first quarter of 2024

La Trinidad, Benguet - A reflection of his dedicated service to uplifting the lives of his constituents, Governor Melchor Diclas of Benguet emerged as the 10th best-performing governor in the Philippines for the first quarter of 2024 based on a national survey.

In the "Boses ng Bayan" survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) from March 18-24, Governor Diclas secured a 71.3% job performance rating, earning the 10th spot in the ranking.

Receiving the highest ratings were Governor Gwen Garcia of Cebu and Governor Dax Cua of Quirino with 93.8% and 93.2% respectively.

In its social media post, RPMD cited that the independent and non-commissioned survey garnered insights from 10,000 adult respondents nationwide. Only those governors who were the top performers in their respective regions qualified for the national ranking.

The qualified governors were evaluated across several critical parameters - adherence to legal and ethical standards, strategic vision and planning, decision-making and problem-solving abilities, financial stewardship, crisis management strategies, development of public services, economic and social initiatives, community engagement, and innovations in public service.

To recall, Diclas was named the top 1 performing governor in Cordillera in 2023 based on the “Pulso ng Bayan” survey conducted by the Hypothesis Philippines - CAR from December 17 to 30, 2023.

Diclas’ high ratings on this survey showcase his leadership skills and his commitment to good governance towards development not just in Benguet but in the whole Cordillera region and the country.
