Gov. James Edduba urges gov’t employees to support PLGU initiatives and optimize service delivery

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Governor James Edduba has called upon local government employees in Kalinga to actively support the  initiatives of the Provincial Local Government Unit  to ensure efficient service delivery to the public – a part of his broader vision for the province “Lumin-awa Kalinga”.

Lumin-awa is a Kalinga word which means better life or well-being, which encompasses development and progress. The vision of Governor Edduba for 2025 is a call for unity, transparency, and collaboration through the collective efforts of local government employees and the people of Kalinga.

Through collective effort and a shared commitment to the greater good, Edubba said, Kalinga will build a brighter and more prosperous future.

Edduba emphasized that the vision to make it happen should be guided by the yKalinga people’s CORE VALUES at work – “kapia” (peace), "panagkaykaysa"( unity),  “namnama” (hope),  "kinaragsak" (joy) , and “ayat" (love).

The Governor spoke to the government employees during the PLGU's first Inter-Agency Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, January 6, 2025, reminding them that these values will serve as the guiding principles for his administration throughout the year.

“By promoting these core values, Kalinga can achieve greater progress and harmony,” he added.

During said event, he underscored that local government employees have an essential role in the province’s governance by supporting the PLGU’s initiatives and that by performing their duties,

they not only support the PLGU’s vision  but also maximizes efficiency in providing services to the people.

In addition, the governor urged the people anew to be responsible in the use of social media, advising that they be more discerning of the digital content they post and share.

With the continued spread of misinformation online, Edduba said public servants and workers need to be vigilant and promote truthful and credible sources of information.
