Gov. Tubban commends 6 completers of ‘Kapatid Mentor Me’ program

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Provincial Governor Engr. Ferdinand B. Tubban lauded six yKalingas who recently completed the 10 modules of ‘Kapatid Mentor Me’- Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) Online Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with Philippine Center Entrepreneurship (PCE)-Go Negosyo.

The program helps Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) scale up their business through weekly coaching and mentoring by business owners and practitioners on different functional areas of entrepreneurship.

During the graduation held at Davidson Hotel, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Governor Tubban recognized the efforts of the mentees despite having been heavily affected by the pandemic. Tubban explained that the entrepreneurs, especially the graduates, have a huge role in the community as the economy level of a certain place depends on the level of business activities in the area.

“Ti daloy ti ekonomiya iti lugar, aggapo iti business. Kayat na sawen nu mayat ti business na iti maysa nga lugar, siguradon dayta, mayat met ti economy dayta a lugar,” the governor said.

Kalinga as land of opportunities

Tubban highlighted that Kalinga is a land of opportunities.

There are a lot of successful entrepreneurs or business owners who are “very much willing to share their knowledge to be globally competitive” citing Thelma Bayle Ng who was also invited as a special guest during the event.

“Adu iti agencies nga makatulong, more for you su ti kunak nga kasapulan nga pumuskol ti rupa, kasapulan nga we should be confident ta nu haan ta nga ipuskol sa mun to ibaga nga sayang adda gayam makatulong,” Tubban added.

The Provincial Governor congratulated the graduates believing they are now prepared to enter whatever their dreams are. He likewise advised the mentees to follow their passion in investing their dream business.

“Mamati ak nga han laeng nga dayta pangsarili yu nu di ket adu iti iraman yu nu dakayo ag-succeed iti anya man nga mapili yu nga business yu ta you will not be fulfilled nu sika laeng ti nag-succeed,” Tubban stressed.
